Health Promotion Program/Intervention presentation

Students will work develop plans for a health promotion program/intervention targeting
a specific health problem and developmental age group. The student(s) will prepare a
5-minute slideshow to the class about the proposed health promotion intervention.
Grades will be based on the quality of the delivery of the presentation to the class.

The presentation will:

• Describe the health issue or health risk your project will address and why you
selected this issue as the focus of your project.
• Identify and describe the target population of your project and why this
population has been selected.
o Example: our research revealed that (adolescents, older adults, etc.) are
at particular risk for (health issue).
• Identify and describe health behavior change you are using to frame your
intervention.
• You can discuss an existing program/intervention and propose an
expansion/modification to adapt to a specific population, different health issue,
etc. You can also tailor your own intervention/program.
• Learning outcomes/objectives you hope to achieve. What is the desired impact
of your project on your target population? You can refer to Healthy People
2020/2030 objective as a guide to establish your objectives.
