CHSF stands for Clean, Healthy, Safe, and Friendly environment.

It is one of Saint Mary’s University’s

advocacy on instilling environmental awareness and individual discipline among the student body.
Rationally, it intends to train and condition the body that for years, the CHSF discipline becomes a
subconcious yet active part of one’s everyday routine.

In times of the pandemic with the roaring challenge of climate change and global warming, with all
the expansion of social divide and physical deterioration, there is a need to strengthen the CHSF
Policy not just inside Saint Mary’s University but with all the places we stand foot at. This is because
the CHSF Policy caters to the physiological, social, spiritual, and environmental factors that may guide
an individual.

CLEAN - it aims for a cleaner and greener environment. This focuses primarily on the waste
management and on the external surrounding.

Conserve electricity.
Liberate from non-biodegradable waste.
Elevate environmental efforts.
Achieve zero plastic waste.
Neutralize excessive and unnecessary motor transportation.

HEALTHY - it aims on the physiological nourishment of the body as the body is the actor of the whole
CHSF Policy.

Help out one another.

Exercise your body with CHSF activities.
Affirm one’s capabilities.

SAFE- This focuses on the quality of Saint Mary’s University with regards to safety of stakeholders to
drug addiction and others that derail the absolute harmony of the university. This pandemic, basic
protocols are also enforced through this.

Friendly - this is the social aspect of the program. This ensures that every Marian student should
always respect other people including what is all behind them. This also applies to the environment.
