Form is the overall structure and organization of music. It refers to the manner in which
musical ideas are put together.
A musical phrase is musical line or musical idea that expresses a musical thought.
Musical ideas may be in repetition, contrast, or variation.
The Simple Musical Form:
1. Ternary – a piece of music with three sections. It is composed of three parts wherein
the part A is repeated. This is also called ABA form or three-part form. Examples of
the songs in Ternary forms are Twinkle, twinkle Little Star, Tinikling, Ang Pasko ay
