ABOUT :

I take immense pride that I belong to a state that owns a magnificent range of creative art forms.The
cultural heritage represented by Kerala is rich and kept alive through these art forms. Performing
arts occupy a distinct place in Kerala’s heritage. The various art forms are intertwined with the
culture of the land and are blended with the lives of the people. These art forms are timeless,
beyond space and time in their uniqueness. But, caught into urban sprawls, the need for planned
growth of cultural spaces is being ignored.The cultural realm falls short in keeping pace with the
urban developments around any specific area.

AIM OF THE PROJECT:

- The aim of the thesis is to create an academy which includes both the fine arts and performing arts
of kerala at Kalagramam , kannur . A space which will define the art culture of kerala
- To plan, promote, develop, operate, own, maintain, all infrastructural facilities, render
technical, financial and marketing supports to artists and scholars
- To provide all infrastructural facilities for establishing their art form in both visual and
functional contexts
- To evolve unique trends in presentation of Art forms with the help of technology
- To provide an opportunity for existing artists to showcase their work and preach the same
- To promote art forms and help artists mutually be benefitted by the same

OBJECTIVES :

This project aims to preserve these art forms that belong to the state and manifest them to the
current generation without losing its essential charm and essence.
The objective of this project is to create a communal space for artists and scholars in respective fine
art fields who strive to push their artistic limits with a commitment to tradition. This in turn gives the
artists a real-world experience of their professional opportunities in their cultural sense.
The center strives to hold a lot of promise for the study and preservation of Kerala’s art forms,
eventually opening doors for artists to engage actively in consciously spreading their knowledge on
the same. As quoted by Rabindranath Tagore ‘Art awakens a sense of real by establishing an
intimate relationship between our inner being and the universe at large, bringing us a consciousness
of deep joy’.
The operational concept behind the institute will be ‘Learn, Teach and Reach.’
SCOPE :

The scope of this thesis is to creative an environment to uplift the importance of art culture of Kerala
along with providing facilties to study and reserch on the arts of kerala which will also have more
impact on tourisum of kerala and a well designed atmosphere for fine arts campus
