by Wilson Greatbatch invented implantable pacemaker, dies at 92.

Otto Hahn (1879 - 1968) was a German chemist and winner of the 1944 Nobel Prize in
Chemistry for his discovery of nuclear fission.
J. Robert Oppenheimer (1904-1967) was an American theoretical physicist. During the
Manhattan Project, Oppenheimer was director of the Los Alamos Laboratory and
responsible for the research and design of an atomic bomb. He is often known as
the “father of the atomic bomb."

Edward Teller, Stanislaw M. Ulam, and other American scientists developed the first
hydrogen bomb, which was tested at Enewetak atoll on November 1, 1952.
