Contraction reminder with WILL: I’ll, you’ll, they’ll, it’ll, we’ll, she’ll, he’ll
Will not = won’t /woʊnt/
Examples:
1. I’m sure if you apologize, your friend will forgive you.
2. If you order today by 5pm, you’ll get it in the mail tomorrow!
3. You’re going to get hurt if you keep jumping around like that.

Ex: If I had been born into a very rich family, I would have had a lot more toys. I think I would have
had horses! I would have gone to visit many different countries and know about a lot of cultures. I
would have been able to take more music lessons. Maybe I would have become a famous pianist! Etc.

Ex: If people had never invented computers, we wouldn’t have the internet or cell phones today. We
wouldn’t be able to communicate as well. Maybe there would be fewer wars. Maybe there would be
more wars. We would know less about what happens in other countries. We would have to find other
ways to entertain ourselves. Maybe we would have invented something similar later on. Etc.
3. What would happen if you never studied again?
Ex: If I never studied again, I would never learn anything new again. I would feel sad if I could never
find out new information. I like to follow my curiosity. Etc.
4. How will you feel if you eat too much candy?
Ex: If I eat too much candy, I feel hyper at first, but then my stomach starts to hurt. Etc.
5. How would the government react if a snowstorm came this week?
Ex: If a snowstorm came this week, everyone would be very surprised. The government would have to
make sure there are resources for everyone. They would need to make sure that the population stays
safe. They would have to hurry to get snowplows ready and be prepared for an emergency. Etc.
6. What would you do if you had a broken toe?
Ex: If I had a broken toe, I would go to the doctor. If it hurt a lot, I would take some medicine. If it
didn’t hurt much, I would try to walk a little bit. I would do what the doctor told me. Etc.
