I don't have a boyfriend anymore!

Hello, diary! I am overwhelmed by emotions, I want to share them with you!

I was in class as usual. I was sitting at the university and I was very bored. Today in class we
were learning how to verify the information to use it. I'm studying to be a linguist and I don't
know if I need to study it. But I keep doing it anyway because I don't want to change my
profession. In general, at university, we study a lot of things that are not useful to us in life or
at work. Well, I will not complain, because I love my university and being in the company of
my best friends. They make my day brighter and more fun. Then, my boyfriend took me to
the movies when classes were over. He picked me up from university like a gentleman.
Drove up in his white car, like a prince on a white horse! Everything went as usual, I told him
how I had been through the day and what new things had happened to me during these four
hours of my life.

Then he said to me:

"We're going to the mall because my mom asked me to pick up some stuff from the mall. "
With no thought, I said:
"Yeah, okay."
When we arrived at the mall, he turned off the car and was about to leave, and I included, but
then he said:
"I'll go by myself and you sit and wait for me in the car."
I was confused because usually we always go together. But the thought flashed through my
head that maybe he wanted to surprise me, so I stayed!
Sitting in the car, I was already discussing surprise scenarios, like him coming with flowers
and saying, "I love you and wanted to surprise you!" or "These flowers are for you! I gave
them to cheer you up." I even got my phone ready to film the moment and waited for him to
come out. When he left the mall, my eyes went down in disappointment.
I didn't see any flowers or candy in his hands. He came out empty-handed, got in his car, and
said:
"Well, let's go."
I asked:
"Did you take everything? Your mom asked you to pick up the dry cleaning."
In an uncertain voice he replied:
"Yeah, there's nothing in there, already taken. "
I thought he was lying because his eyes were not looking at me, but away, and he left
quickly. But I decided that nothing would ruin my day. After all, we were finally going to the
movies with him after a long time!

We sang songs, talked about everything, and laugh along the way. When we got to the
movies, we decided to eat first. I was starving because I hadn't eaten anything all day. We
stood in line at McDonald's and finally sat at the table. While he was taking off his jacket, I
saw the funny picture inside the twist and I started laughing aloud.
The people around me were staring at me without understanding what was going on. Through
laughter, I asked:
“Let me have your jacket, and I'll show you something! »
«No, I won't”, - he said in a rude voice.
My laughter disappeared immediately, and my eyebrows became a frown, and in a sad voice
I asked:
“Why? I just want to show you something.”
"Stop eating and let's go."

I was upset and offended by him because I simply asked him something, to which I got a rude
answer. In total silence, we went to the cinema to see a romantic movie. There were a lot of
people in that room and there weren't even any empty seats left. Throughout the movie, my
boyfriend kept hugging me or kissing me on the cheek. It was awkward and annoying for me
because that was not what I wanted. Furthermore, I was still angry with him for not hearing
an apology. At the movie's most romantic and sweetest moment, he decided to disturb me and
ask for forgiveness. In his excuse, he said he wasn't in the mood because of work. I forgave
him and accepted his apology, and we continued watching the movie. During the movie, he
was unaccustomed to being tactful with me. He kept touching my hands and confessing his
love. I thought that maybe the movie had influenced him that way. When the movie ended,
we decided to walk around the mall because a beautiful playground was nearby. Moreover, it
was quite dark outside, lit up with beautiful lights, which gave a romantic ambiance. We
walked holding hands and warmed up with our warm conversations about our future. At one
point, he started talking about his great love for me. He confessed his feelings and how he
had been daring to do it for a long time. I started to think that he wanted to end this
relationship or say something bad. And then "IT" happened.
I stood there with my mouth open in shock and surprise. He did this after 5 years of our
relationship. I didn't expect this outcome of a simple trip to the movies. From that moment
on, he wasn't my boyfriend anymore! 
Standing on one knee, he asked me:
“Will you marry me?”
And with tears in my eyes, I answered:
“Yes!”
 
Dear diary, now I don't have a boyfriend! I have a husband! I'm getting married!
