1. Differentiate Agrarian Reform from Land Reform

- Land reform… is concerned with rights in land, and their character, strength and distribution, while…
agrarian reform focuses not only on these but also a broader set of issues: the class character of the
relations of production and distribution in farming and related enterprises, and how these connect to
the wider class structure.

2. Give the meaning of the following;

2.1.Hukbalahap

-The Hukbong Bayan Laban sa Hapon ( 'People's Army Against Japan'), better known by the
acronym Hukbalahap, was a communist guerrilla movement formed by the farmers of Central Luzon.
They were originally formed to fight the Japanese, but extended their fight into a rebellion against the
Philippine government, known as the Hukbalahap Rebellion, in 1946. It was put down through a series of
reforms and military victories by Defense Secretary, and later President, Ramon Magsaysay.

-and also Ang Hukbalahap ay (Hukbong Bayan Laban sa Japan, Hukbong Bayan laban sa mga
Sundalo ng Hapon), o Hukbong Laban sa Hapon (Anti-Hapon Army), ay isang kilusang gerilya komunista
na binuo ng mga magsasakang magsasaka ng Central Luzon. Kilala sila bilang "Huks". Sila ay orihinal na
binuo upang labanan ang mga Hapon, ngunit pinalawak ang kanilang paglaban sa isang paghihimagsik
laban sa Pamahalaan ng Pilipinas, na kilala bilang Hukbalahap Rebellion, noong 1946. Ito ay ibinagsak sa
pamamagitan ng serye ng mga reporma at militar na tagumpay ng Pangulong Pilipino na si Ramon
Magsaysay.

2.2. CARP

-The CARP or Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program, more commonly known as CARP, is an
agrarian reform law of the Philippines whose legal basis is the Republic Act No. 6657,[1] otherwise
known as the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Law (CARL).[2] It is the redistribution of private and public
agricultural lands to help the beneficiaries survive as small independent farmers, regardless of the
“tenurial” arrangement. Its goals are to provide landowners equality in terms of income and
opportunities, empower land owner beneficiaries to have equitable land ownership, enhance
agricultural production and productivity, provide employment to more agricultural workers, and put an
end to conflicts regarding land ownership.

3. Differentiate Aliping Saguiguilid from Aliping namamahay


-There are two type of Alipin. Aliping Namamahay was a servant that lived in their own little house
on the property of their master, and Aliping Sagigilid was a servant that lived around the house of their
master.
