Activity 2.1: Reflection

1. Track your internet usage over the course of the day. Note the apps and websites you use or
visit. List down how long you spend browsing each
The apps and websites I use or visit on daily basis that usually takes up my internet usage
are Facebook, Instagram, mobile games such as Mobile Legends and Immortal Diaries, online
shops such as Shopee and Shein, and websites such as youtube.com, pinterest.com and anime
planet. For my social media, I usually spend a maximum of 1 hour, while I spend a maximum of
maybe 2 hours of mobile gaming with both ML and Immortal Diaries combined. For online
shops, I also spend 3 hours looking at useless things without even buying them. For pinterest, the
longest time I spend with for it is an hour, but sometimes I could spend 4 to 5 hours in anime
planet.
2. Reflect on your daily internet usage. Do you think it is too much or too little? Is it time well-
spent? Why or why not? Would you like this to change? How?
I think I spend too much time with my internet usage. Note that, those times are not well-
spent. For example, I allocate most of my time playing mobile games, such as Mobile Legends. I
also waste time scrolling down on my news feed in my social media, wherein sometimes I can
learn something but most of the time I just spend time on unnecessary posts. Lastly, I spend a lot
of time on online shops, looking through useless stuffs without even having the plan to buy them.
With my daily internet usage that is not even well – spent, I decided that I would like this to
change. I want to allocate my time with my internet usage on necessary things. By that, I should
limit myself in using the applications that usually heightens my internet usage for a maximum of
an hour. It will help me focus and use the internet more on significant things.
