Who would not like to travel around the world?

“The world is a book and those who do not travel read

only one page” is a famous phrase by Saint Augustine. Almost everyone will enjoy traveling to different
countries, experiencing different cultures, and trying different foods. Traveling is one of the most fun
activities that someone can do.

A significant event in my life, that has recently passed, was when I traveled to Costa Rica. At the end of
my junior year of high school, I decided that I wanted to graduate a half year early and travel to do a
volunteer project. After my early graduation I traveled with a volunteer group out of Europe to Costa
Rica for two months.

Introduction:             Traveling is one of the most happy experiences on can have. But the high cost of
travel and the time can tend to be an important factor in the choice of travel mode that we take.
Usually, a trip will or might involve the options for a ride on a train or a ship or boat. These modes of
transport are, for the most part, fast and very common among travelers.

Sure, Most of you will say – “Why would I need and want to travel if I have TV”, “Nowadays we have too
many technologies to go out of your country”. Well, Coming to America was a new experience for me, I
got to know so much about the culture of the country and people from the inside. The most
embarrassing thing for me was that Americans as a nation don’t travel much.

traveling ever since I learned how to speak, whether by boat, bus, or plane. Living in Kuwait, a country in
the Middle East, my whole family and I did our best to visit our family and friends back home in the
Philippines. I learned the basics of traveling from my father and through observation.

Therefore, it will be helpful for them to work or travel for a year’s time, during which they can get a
better understanding of various kinds of jobs. Then, students can get to know which field they are
interested in most, thereby making a rational and suitable choice for their majors. Moreover, to travel
and work for a year after high school is a good way for students to broaden their horizons and enrich
their social experience.

Some people have traveling as a hobby, and they go to places without any plan just as a backpacker
which show that people who love travel do not care if they will sleep in a hotel or in a tent. Travel is not
only a unique experience, but it is also very beneficial. Nowadays, people can get information and
knowledge about different cultures just using the Internet; however, it is not the same traveling by
Internet or hearing from an acquaintance as experiencing by oneself.

Most recently in the news there was an instance of an Ebola outbreak in West Africa. This is not a huge
concern for most of us that aren’t traveling there, or don’t have family that travels back and forth, but
for the Center for Disease Control this was a huge concern. This was the largest outbreak in history, and
also the first on in Africa.

In recent years tourism in India has shot up at lighting speed. India has succeeded in becoming the most
preferred place amongst domestic and overseas traveler. Tourism exposes the international traveler to
India’s diverse culture. According to some official estimates Indian tourism has surpassed global tourism
as far as penetration of foreign tourists and revenue is concerned.
