2. Project
Objective: To write a creative story with an interesting plot and a surprising ending.

Characteristics of the project:


• The project will be written taking the creativity and critical thinking of the members of the team.
• The project will use English as a language using different verb tenses and active and passive
voice.

Procedure:
1. Write a brief introduction of the story mentioning:
a. The names of the characters, their likes/dislikes and their physical appearance.
b. The place(s) where the story will take place.
c. The word limit is 60-80 words + 10 extra.
2. Include a title for the story which has to be creative to capture the reader’s attention and is
related to the story.
3. Include a picture(s) (1 min. - 3 max.) that are related to the story.
4. Include the plot of the story:
a. Use different verb tenses (present, past, present perfect, etc.) including active voice
and passive voice (at least 5 sentences in passive).
b. A good and surprising ending for the story.
c. The word limit is 190- 230 words + 10 extra.
5. Each member of the team must include a short comment about the content of the project.
a. Characteristics of the comment:
i. It must be an opinion about the story and its ending you wrote.
ii. The word limit is 25-30 words with 10 extra words for EACH comment.
iii. It must include the full name of the team’s member and a word count.
6. The writing in the project must be accurate (without mistakes); this includes: the introduction,
the story, and the members’ comments. Every mistake will affect the note of everybody.
For an accurate writing check: Sentence structures, spelling mistakes, capital letters,
punctuation marks, verb tenses, verb conjugations, that you are using the correct words with a
correct order, if some words are missing, if the meaning is clear, etc.
Use the Lista de Cotejo de Autoevaluación to check your project before you hand it to the
teacher.
3. Evaluation
Once you finished the project, the team members MUST self-evaluate it by using the Lista de
Cotejo de Autoevaluación. The lista de cotejo MUST show:
• The things that are shown or not and accomplished in the project by the team (Lo
demuestra/No lo demuestra) with a check mark/cross.
• The grade of the project: The addition of the points that are obtained in Lo demuestra.
• One comment of the team: In the section Comentarios y aspectos a mejorar. The comment is
about the project’s elaboration/team’s organization (team roles, design of the poster,
more creativity, etc.) based on how you can improve as a team.

For this project, you MUST hand in:

1. A cover
2. An introduction
3. A story
4. The comments of each team member.
5. One Lista de Cotejo de Autoevaluación with the self-evaluation made by the team (answered).
6. One Lista de Cotejo de Evaluación in blank (not answered).

IMPORTANT: If you have less than 5 members and more than 6 in your team and you don’t
include ONE Lista de Cotejo graded by the team, the project WON’T be considered in your
grade of the second period.
