 OTT Platforms

An OTT (over the top ) media service is a media service offered directly to viewers via internet . It refers
to the content or services which is conveyed on an infrastructure of internet driven technology (mobile,
tablets etc.).The striking feature of this service is that it is beyond the administrative control of the
service provider which led it to free from restrictions. in other words, it refers to the delivery of films, TV
series, short documentary and other content which is not done through conventional cable operating
service but is provided through the internet. OTT platforms run on DTC business model. These platforms
break the ice for the audience, early they used to go theater but now they can find the same content
on the OTT. These platforms add new content according to their audience.

In this model the OTT applications earn through the subscription money that is paid by the users or from
ads.
