Guidelines
The Midterm Oral Evaluation for this level consists of a conversation conducted via video or
phone call. The conversation can be Teacher-Student or Student-Student. This evaluation will
include 2 different tasks:

Task 1- Conversation:
• You will tell the student that you will be asking them some questions and that they
must respond in complete sentences.
• Ask at least one or two questions from each topic. If a topic has not been covered
in class, skip it and move to another one.
• Make sure you rotate your questions with each student in order to avoid test fraud
among students.

Task 2- Suggestions/Advice (Travel):

• After the Conversation task, you will tell the student that you will now be asking
them for advice and that they must respond in complete sentences.
• Students should provide advice or suggestions for at least 2 situations.

Please refer to the task specifications for duration and topics details.

Keep in mind the following:

• The evaluation can be conducted via a video call on any platform you are currently
using. If a video call is not convenient for you or your students, you can do it through a
phone call or even voice notes on the instant messaging app of your choice.
• Each interview should be a maximum of 5 minutes or minimum or a minimum of 3
minutes per student. Make sure you keep track of the time.
• Teachers MUST evaluate their own students in order to reduce stress and anxiety in
students.
• You MUST only use the rubrics & grading sheets provided for this level. The use of other
level’s rubrics is NOT allowed.
• Upload the Midterm Oral Grading Sheet to the corresponding OneDrive shared folder
within a week after the administration of the evaluation.
