A Game of Trolls is the story of a young man named Heck, who works as a keyboard warrior for

hire at a “troll center” that runs an online campaign in favor of martial law. At the same time, tensions
rise between Heck and his mother, a former martial law activist who is trying to reach out to her son. All
the while ghosts of martial law victims creep out from the internet to haunt Heck, who is made to
reevaluate his beliefs as he encounters them.

According to Magtoto, it was not an easy play to write – millennials, after all, are a
discriminating and fickle audience. Through focus group discussions, they were able to figure out what
would appeal to a younger audience. The story begins in our Facebook news feeds, which serve as a
battleground. Hector (Myke Salomon) is a paid internet troll whose job it is to promote Marcos' agenda,
or at the very least to cause chaos. It's a 9-to-5 job in an office that resembles a call center run by the
insane boss Bimbam (Vince Lim).

This is also what happened today, a lot of misinformation happened in social media. Youths and
young adults are all the victims, they don’t even research what is the real truth. This is alarming, social
media is now a platform of fake news. It should always be noted that many of us rely in social media to
get the latest upfate or news, but it seems this is not already happening. Fake news is now spreading
and it quickly spread because of the shares. People tend to revise the history, but this should not be and
that`s all because of social media.

The real question is, “What can we do now?” yet this is very challenging but we must do our
part, this movie teaches us to be vigilant. We must search for what is the truth by relying on the best
source- to that has a credibility. Social media is a way to connect people, but this is already happening.
We should do our part! A lot of misinformation happened and we should stop this.

"A Game of Trolls" is a brilliant illustration of how theater can go beyond entertaining and even
art. PETA has fulfilled its mission to educate with this piece. It succeeded in getting audiences to
understand and care about their own history.
What we need to be aware of is how easily we may be duped and how we have enabled it to
happen. What we need is to be conscious that our recent past is being rewritten in real time.
What we need is a jolt of consciousness that tells us there's more to what we're seeing, and that
curiosity and asking questions are critical during these moments.
