A History of Esteria

Many centuries ago, The Three Great Delivers saved Esteria from the
darkness that had overtaken the continent. Binding their magic together they
erected a mighty magical barrier to keep the darkness out. Within the walls peace
was resounding. There was no sickness, famine, poverty it was an oasis on the
darkened land. But nobody could get past the barriers to come into the tranquil
land. Thankfully the Lords were kind enough to expand the barrier whenever they
felt that the people on the other side could no longer stand their suffering.
Within the country are many different jobs and opportunities for
people to move forward. The structure of the city moves out in a giant Notaulus
shell shape. Each section of the shell has 1 High Lord Elf that rules over and has
dominion over that precinct. There are lower elves such as Wood elves and Drow
that work as administrators and lower lords to help keep everything working
efficiently. The Yuan-ti work as a policing force keeping the peace and to make
sure that everyone is as happy as they could possibly be. All Lords and
administrators still answer the Three Great Delivers.
The look of the city is simple but beautiful. All the Houses our white
with bronze roofs. Plants grow up walls and from planter boxes within the
windows. You can worship whomever you’d like but the Church of the delivers is
most abundant. It has 5-6 chapels in each precinct. They have stained glass
windows and a gold roof and is extravagantly decorated with statures and
magnificent gardens.
With the protection of the High Elves did come laws though You were
required to follow your Elven Lords…. after all it was their magic keeping out the
wretch of the world that stood on the other side of the wall, You were to of use to
society so depending on race you were assigned a job that would put your skills to
use, the Yuan-ti were there for your protection so any one taking against the divine
was to be turned into them, you were to go to the market once a week to receive
medicinal shots to keep the diseases at bay. Anyone caught not following these
Rules would be subject to being removed back to the outside for the safety of
everyone.

have the “little pests” do it.

classes and thought of as a killing machine and enforcer.

society they could easily be used by High Lords as spies or ignored as easily as a
