ABSRACT
In today’s world, the infrastructure of College and Industries are
becoming large so if one has to travel or visit from one place to another
he has to walk a long distance and sometimes it becomes very hasty
and inconvenient. Sometimes after too many travelling on campus, it
causes strain and pain in the body. So to travel these distances two-
wheeled or three-wheeled electric scooter like Segway PT, Irrway were
introduced. But, these scooters are very costly such as they start from ₹
50,000. Another problem with that vehicle is that they are difficult to
handle when we drive the first time. So in alternate to this product, we
developed whole newly designed product and this is Reliable, Eco-
friendly, a Compact vehicle for the campus. Its utilities are college
campus, Airports, Industries, Recreational Parks, Sanctuaries,
Museums, Palaces, Villas etc. So our project is on design and
fabrication of three-wheel vehicle and also its multipurpose utility
among the society.
The concept of the model taken from children’s scooter bicycle.
The complete body looks like a scooter bicycle in which platform is
provided for standing and driving the powered scooter. This product is
a battery powered and motor-driven vehicle. The scooter is intended to
use in indoors areas as well as in outdoor areas, due to the absence of
any type of pollution causing drive mechanism such as petrol engines

CHAPTER 1

INTRODUCTION

Since the last two decades the judiciary and policy makers all
over the world are deeply concerned about the urgent need for
protection of the environment, ecology and humanity at large, there has
been a steep rise in the accumulation of greenhouse gases particularly
co2, which effect global changes in weather. Motor vehicle contribute
about 14% of co2 from all sources besides, pollution due to both petrol
and diesel enginedriven vehicles caused by the emission of co, no un
burnt hydrocarbons, particulate and oxides of tetra ethyl, lead are injury
to health and environment. Regulations on exhaust emission from
vehicle engines have been made progressively more and more stipend
towards the year 2000 and beyond. Vehicle manufactures have been
hence obliged to meet these standards by designing cleaner and fuel
efficiently engines and through provision for treatment of exhaust gases
tosatisfy the specified limits. So to satisfy and overcome these two
problems namely
Pollution
Efficiency
Then we go for a hybrid vehicle in the name of MINI SCOOTER

LITERATURE SURVEY

Survey emphasis
vehicle modeling and simulation, power and energy management,
energystorage devices, propulsion systems and influence of driving
cycle that affectthe overall efficiency and fuel economy. The survey
also focused on economic and emission analysis. In the area of
propulsion motor and other motor control technologies, methods to
eliminate speed/position sensors, inverter current sensors, etc., have
been under investigation for several years. The technological
challenges for the electric motors will be light weight, wide speed
range, high efficiency, maximum torque and long life.

CHAPTER 3
DISCRIPTION OF EQUIPMENTS
BATTERY
This report focuses on lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery technology
applications for two- and possibly three-wheeled vehicles. The author
of this report visited the People’s Republic of China (PRC or China) to
assess the status of Li-ion battery technology there and to analyze
Chinese policies, regulations, and incentives for using this technology
and for using two- and three-wheeled vehicles. Another objective was
to determine if the Li-ion batteries produced in China were available
for benchmarking in the United States. The United States continues to
lead the world in Li-ion technology research and development (R&D).
Its strong R&D program is funded by the U.S. Department of Energy
and other federal agencies, such as the National Institute of Standards
and Technology and the U.S. Department of Defense. In Asia, too,
developed countries like China, Korea, and Japan are commercializing
and producing this technology. In China, more than 120 companies are
involved in producing Li-ion batteries. There are more than 139
manufacturers of electric bicycles (also referred to as E-bicycles,
electric bikes or E-bikes, and electric two-wheelers or ETWs in this
report) and several hundred suppliers. Most E-bikes use lead acid
batteries, but there is a push toward using Li-ion battery technology for
two- and three-wheeled applications.

CHAPTER 4
MOTOR
The regenerative system can be employed in the hub motor itself
and it does not any separate components. The stator and rotor is
composed of coils. While we throttle the vehicle, battery supplies
electricity to the coils, so the coils will behave as magnets which make
the coil rotate inside the magnets. When we release the throttle, then
the rotor will be rotating inside the magnetic field. So when the coils
rotate in the magnetic field there will be generation of electricity which
is used to recharge the battery as per the calculations practically we
achieved 30% of the used energy during testing.

CONCLUSION
In our project we have achieved all the objectives which we were
planned. As it is difficult to transfer the goods from one place to
another in small scale industries our vehicle is useful in those scenarios
as it is capable of carrying 300kg load and it is also economical when
compared to other electric vehicles available in market. As the fossil
fuels are nearer to extinction we should make use of alternative energy
sources and also using it efficiently. So we not only considered for
providing a vehicle for transportation apart from it we tried to make it
efficient by inclusion of regenerative system .The project carried out by
us will make an impressing mark in the field of automobile. It is very
usefully for students. This project has also reduced the cost involved in
the concern.
