Today, (20.7.2021), the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru M.K.

Stalin participated in the Investors Conclave organized by the Industries

Department in ITC Grand Chola. During the event, 35 MoUs were exchanged

with a cumulative investment of Rs. 17,141 crores and employment

opportunities to 55,054 persons.

The Hon’ble Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for 9 projects with an

investment commitment of Rs. 4,250 crores and employment opportunities to

21,630 persons.

Apart from this, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu also inaugurated 5

projects with an investment commitment of Rs. 7,117 crores and employment

opportunities to 6,798 persons.

The total investment committed in the above 49 projects is Rs. 28,508 crores

and employment opportunities to 83,482 persons.

Following events were held during this function:-

1) Launching of Single Window Portal 2.0: Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil

Nadu launched the Single Window Portal 2.0 with 100+ services spread

across 24 Departments for existing and new investors in a fully digitalized

manner. The upgraded system will have features such as parallel

processing of clearances, virtual meeting with departments, Artificial

Intelligence based Chatbot Facility and Deemed approval for select

clearances.

2) Guidance – ATEA Digital Accelerator Program Grant: Guidance Tamil

Nadu has entered into an MoU with American Tamil Entrepreneurs

Association (ATEA) to promote start-ups in the fields of innovation,

Research & Development in Tamil Nadu. This Digital Accelerator Program

sanctions grant to the start-up projects engaged in innovation, research

and development. Government has sanctioned a sum of Rs. 5.0 crores for

this programme. 75 applications have been received, out of which 5

organizations have been selected for sanction of the grant. Hon’ble Chief

Minister handed over the sanction orders to the 5 companies. The details

3) Centre of Excellence for the development of Aircraft Engine

Components, Aircraft Components and R & D Companies: General

Electric has proposed to establish a Centre of Excellence to enhance

production of aircraft and aeronautical components for industries in the

aerospace and defence sector using advanced manufacturing technologies.

A MoU was signed between General Electric Company and TIDCO in the

presence of the Hon’ble Chief Minister.

4) Exchange of MoUs: MoUs were exchanged for 35 projects with a

cumulative investment of Rs. 17,141 crores and employment

opportunities to 55,054 persons. The investments are in the fields

of Power Plants, Electronics, Auto Components, Industrial Parks, IT

/ ITeS Services, General Manufacturing, Food Processing,
