EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT
THIS CONTRACT dated January 2, 2014 is made between EDWARD GEGS ENTERPRISES, whose address
is R. Castillo Street, Brgy. Centro, Agdao, Davao City, hereinafter referred to as EMPLOYER and
______________________________________, hereinafter referred to as EMPLOYEE.
1. Services: The Employee agrees to perform for the Employer in a good and workmanlike manner,
consistent with the provisions of Exhibit "B", the following specific services: Cleaning, vacuuming,
dusting, etceteras, consistent with those outlined on Exhibit "A".
2. Terms: The term of this agreement shall be for a period of four (4) months commencing on January 2,
2013 and is renewable hereafter.
4. Schedule of Work: The Employee shall perform the said services for the maintenance of the
cleanliness and sanitation of the four (4) project camp sites and site offices of Employer’s client for
eight (8) hours per day or forty-eight (48) hours per week. Employee’s shift starts at 8:00 AM to 12:00
PM and from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Employee is given one (1) hour for lunch break which will be from
12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
5. Overtime: In case the need arises and with due notice from Employer, Employee may be required to
render overtime or service beyond the eight [8] hour period or forty-eight (48) hours per week, or
during Holidays or rest days. However, total number of overtime hours rendered should not be more
than forty (40) hours a month, except, under emergency cases and when it is necessary and beneficial
to Employer’s client, Employee may render overtime services beyond (40) hours a month provided
there is a lack of qualified regular personnel, request is duly authorized by Employer, and such excess
should not go beyond twenty (20) hours a month. Employer will not pay Employee for overtime
services rendered without notice from Employer.
6. Compensation: The Employee’s daily wage shall be at Php301.00 which shall be given every fifth and
20th day of each month. Employee is required to submit a daily time record every 15 th and 30th of the
month.
7. Absence through Illness: The Supervisor must be notified at least one hour before start of shift if
Employee is unable to go to work because of illness. A medical certificate is required if absence extends
beyond three consecutive days and should cover the period until the staff member is declared fit for
work. Dental appointments, visits to the doctors, etc, should, where possible, should be arranged
outside working hours.
8. Compassionate Leave: Compassionate leave will be at the discretion of the management but, in the
case of near relatives, will be such as to allow full attendance at funeral services.
9. Leave of Absence: Approval and duration of unpaid personal leave shall be at the discretion of the
Employer.
10. Grievance Procedure: Employer is most anxious that legitimate grievances raised by an Employee are
expeditiously and fairly resolved. Any member of staff who has a grievance relating to his/her
employment should discuss it with the Employer.
11. Dismissal: The Employer hopes that it will not become necessary to dismiss an Employee, however, it
must be understood that there are certain breaches of Company Rules for which, after the facts have
been ascertained, an Employee may be summarily dismissed or suspended, without pay, pending
further investigations. In such an event, an Employee will be afforded a full right of representation of
his/her case to the Employer before a final decision is made. Continued failure to adhere to normal
Company requirements, including timekeeping, attendance, job performance, confidentiality in
relation to all the Employer’s affairs and general conduct will result in an Employee being subject the
following procedure:
At all times the Employer will abide by procedural fairness under current employment legislation when
dealing with dismissals from the Company.
12. Notice Periods: Staff who wish to terminate their employment with the Employer are expected to give
the following notice:
13. Standard of Dress: All Employees are required to wear their uniforms and company IDs while inside
the work premises. Where uniform is required dress, no personal additions will be made to the
uniform, and it shall be cleaned by the Employee for the duration of their contract.
14. Confidentiality: The Employee will not, during or at any time after the termination of their
employment, disclose to any person or persons nor use for their own benefit any confidential
information that they may receive or obtain in relation to the affairs of the Employer or its Clients.
15. Alteration to Terms of Employment: Any alterations in the Regulations of Employment affecting staff
individually will be notified by a letter or memorandum, but any general alteration will be
communicated in a Circular to be seen by all members of staff.
16. Termination of Prior Agreements. This agreement cancels and terminates, as of its effective date, all
prior agreements between the parties hereto covering the services covered hereby, whether written or
oral or partly written and partly oral.
17. Signatures. The Employee has read and understands this Employment Contract and both the
Employee and Employer agree to abide by all of it and in their agreement hereunto sign this contract.

Note: If the Employee responds “YES” to being allergic to one or more CLEANING SUPPLIES please
understand that it will be up to the Employee to be careful to avoid or be careful in using these
products regardless of the source of the supplies.

I have, by my own hand and under no kind of duress, completed this employment application. I know the
answers I have given to be truthful and not misleading. I am 18 years of age or older. By signing the
application I hereby give Edward Gegs Enterprises permission to check my criminal history and/or with my
previous employer(s) if I answered “Yes” to questions 8 and/or 9 and/or 10, respectively, on this employment
application.
Basic Routine:
daily:
sweeping and mopping of all floor areas
cleaning and sanitizing of comfort rooms and wash rooms
cleaning of furniture, fixtures and office equipment
disposing of contents and cleaning of waste baskets, solid waste boxes and
other receptacles
maintaining the general cleanliness of the office and its surroundings
cleaning of glass partitions
weekly:
cleaning of walls, carpets, general cleaning, cleaning of pantry and its cupboards
monthly:
cleaning of ceiling
lighting fixtures
cleaning of walls of comfort/wash rooms
washing/cleaning of window glass shutters

ALWAYS be on time.
ALWAYS give plenty of notice if sick or you have an important appointment to keep.
ALWAYS leave a note if something does not get done or turns out wrong and briefly explain.
ALWAYS leave a note if something is broken or damaged and report this to Theresa quickly.
ALWAYS double-check each room before you leave to make sure you have not forgotten anything.
ALWAYS unplug the vacuum cleaner safely – go all the way to the outlet to unplug the cord.
NEVER leave early.
NEVER touch TV's, radios, stereos or computers (other than to dust them).
