There are choices for coping with the financial crisis!

As all students and teachers are aware, our school has been dealing with a serious financial crisis.
No one had anticipated that prices would rise by that much when the school made the costly
decision to refurbish its facilities and undertake technological developments. We should think of
ways our school can save money as a way to thank it for the renovated interior and new
equipment provided for us.
 First off, as electricity costs a lot of money, we may strive to reduce costs by making sure
to turn off lights and electronics when not in use. Additionally, since it's still sunny
outside, we should use natural light in the classroom rather than artificial lighting.
 Second, we can consider entertaining extracurricular activities for which students can
make a little donation to the school. For instance, the student body at our institution has
considered planning a party with a $5–$10 entrance fee. The money will be gathered and
given to the institution of learning. Organizing a bazaar with homemade treats and
decorative objects is another idea.
 In addition, students who are keen to social media, marketing and technology can use the
school’s pages to promote the school, its activities, facilities etc. so to attract more
students.
 Installing recycling bins in another beneficial solution. Not only can our school become
more environmentally-friendly; it can save money since recycled material is cheaper to
collect than general waste.
 According to studies, an average school spends about $3,000-4000 on paper, ink and
toner each month. Even though going paperless is not realistic, reducing the paper used
has potential to save a great deal of money. That can happen by encouraging students and
teachers to re-use paper handouts when possible and make worksheets available online
for students with access to a personal device.
 Renting out premises. Now with all the renovations undertaken, our school has great
facilities and would be very attractive to a lot of people. There are a lot of areas of the
school that can be rented, such as the theatre, the pool, the sports facilities and the library.
This decision can only be taken by the school principals. What us, students, can do is
communicate and promote that our school facilities can be rented.
 Start thinking of ways our school can minimize costs and communicate them with us!
Let’s start doing whatever is possible from tomorrow. And don’t forget; even small actions
and meaningful and make a difference.
