I. RATIONALE
Education is life saving. Not only does it provide safety and protection, importantly, it also instils hope for a brighter future.
The Constitution explicitly declares that…the State shall protect and promote the right of all citizens to quality education at all levels. It is for such that the Villa
Aurora Elementary School of Burauen, East, Leyte Division is determined to continuously improve in its basic education services despite the challenges brought by this
pandemic COVID-19.
The DepEd Secretary Briones said “Education must continue…education cannot wait”. This explicitly shows DepEd’s commitment to fulfil its mandate and to
keep itself in track despite the present health crisis. The mission of all education system is the same. It is to overcome the learning crisis we were already living and
respond to the pandemic we are all facing. The challenge today is to reduce as much as possible the negative impact of this pandemic and assuring that all children have
the same chances for a quality education. The need to adjust existing plans and strategies is inevitable as the new normal emerges.
The Villa Aurora Elementary School developed contingency plans that are aligned to the AIP and APP and to the acceptable health standards set by authorities.
Strategies and approaches were revisited and revised to assure the attainment of targets in conditions that are safe for the learners, teachers and its partners.
Learning Continuity Plans of Villa Aurora Elementary School adheres to its goal of providing quality and relevant education to the learners. These emergency
roadmaps incorporate DepEd’s Sulong Edukalidad strategies contextualized to suit the needs of the learners and the teachers of this school aligned to the new normal for
schools. The curriculum was reviewed to identify the Most Essential Learning Competences. Blended learning approach will be applied school with reduced number of
learners attending school per batch matched with the use of various alternative delivery modes (modular approach, home-based instruction and digital- based learning)
suited to the need of these learners.
Managing Performance Accountability (MPA) program will assist in the implementation of these plans to ensure efficiency of the delivery of services of various
implementing units and of the school s as well. These plans anticipate various scenarios and offer feasible options that can easily be adopted in schools.

II. OBJECTIVE
This Learning Continuity Plan intends to provide the necessary structures and mechanisms to support the delivery of
