“Is stealing can still be a bad thing when it's done for a good reason?

"
Yes, it's still a bad thing because the act itself breaks one of the 10
commandments of God. The 8th commandment that God gave to Moses is
“thou shall not steal.” He did not add any clause nor provision that stealing is
excusable if it’s done for a good cause. The 8th commandment is loud and
clear that there should be no excuse for stealing. Thus, I believe that any
good deeds towards our fellowmen is useless if a man breaks God’s
commandment to find the means to do so such as stealing. In the first place,
we should love and honor God before anything else. It is Christianlike to do
good deeds for others but not at the expense of jeopardizing our personal
relationship with God by breaking His commandments. Another thing is God
said whatever you do unto others, you do it unto me. So if you do the bad
thing like stealing from the rich, it is like you’ve done something bad to God,
too. And it is wrong to claim that it is alright to rob the rich because they still
have some assets left. Again, God said whatever you do unto others but He
did not said “except for.” Simply put, “others” cut across social class.
It is my personal opinion that no one is permitted to take away something
that belongs to another. Not only it is God’s law but it is the basic law of the
society we live in. We all know stealing is punishable by law and even
possession of stolen goods is illegal. Thus, when a man pull a Robin Hood
stunt for a good cause then both he and his beneficiaries would be in deep
trouble with the law. And that defeats the purpose of charity or good cause.
As I come to the conclusion of my reflection paper, I just realized that this
Robin Hood story should be censored as SPG or strict parental guidance
when young children read or watch it. The Robin Hood situation, no matter for
good reason, is against the law of God and man. And it should not be
romanticized.
