Rationale San Jose-Litex Senior High School recorded a total of 231

irregular Grade 12 students last school year of 2021-
2022.

According to DO No. 45, s. 2017 “Scenario 2: Completed

grade 11 first semester subjects but with back subjects on
second semester are considered Irregular Grade 12.”

The main reasons of this irregular status are from the

failed grades/subjects from their previous Grade level due
to non-submission or incomplete status, transferees, balik
aral and shift of strand which may affect their timely
graduation.

Aside from this, an increasing number of learners who

were categorized as “Academically Challenged”, pregnant,
just gave birth, presently working full time, has sickness
and other factors which may hinder them in attending
school is also a major concern in their academic status.
