PROCEDURES IN CREATING A SWIFTJOB
1. Click the NEW BUTTON on the Home Tab of the PlanSwift interface.

2. A dialouge box named “NEW JOB” is going to show. This is were the new job will be created.
Input the name of your work in the job/quote number and put additional information in the
description and note tabs. In here, you can also select the measurement type. After all is set, click
NEXT.
3. BROWSE the file/blueprint you wanted to import from your computer. Then click NEXT.

4. A CONVERT SETTING dialouge box will appear.


Check all the marks as shown in the picture below. This will allow the software to run your PDF file
a little bit faster performance. Then, click NEXT.
5. Now, your job is ready to create and bring into plan. Hit the FINISH to start working with your
new SwiftJob.
PROCEDURES IN SETTING THE SCALES AUTOMATICALLY
1. Find for the scale indicator on your plans. Once you have found it, select the SCALE ICON
located in the Home Tab.
You have two options in selecting the scale button. First is by clicking the icon and set the
scale available in the scale window. Second is by click the drop arrow and select you scale
from the list of standard scales.

2. When selecting a standard scale, a DISCLAIMER dialogue box will appear.


This indicates that the electronic image has been altered from the original state of the image
thus the scale may not be accurate. You should always verify the accuracy of your scale after
setting.
3. You can see an icon in the corner of the screen indicating that the scale has been set.

4. Verify the scale using the DIMENSION TOOL located beside the scale button.
It is important to measure both horizontal and vertical measurement to ensure the accuracy of
the scale.
PROCEDURES IN SETTING THE SCALES MANUALLY
1. To manually scale your drawing plan, select again the DROP-DOWN BUTTON located
underneath the scale button.
This time, instead of selecting a pre-determined scale, select the standard. A pop-up
window will appear on your screen.

2. In the SCALE TAB, enter the dimension that is known in the sheet. Also, select the
appropriate unit given in the plan.
Note that the larger the dimension, the accurate the scale will be. After entering the
dimension in the tab, press OK.
3. Click the starting and ending point of the line where you indicated the length.
Once done, you will see an arrow indicator on the left showing that you have already scaled the
sheet on horizontal axis. Then repeat the process on the vertical axis.

4. Verify the scale again using the DIMENSION TOOL located beside the scale button.
Measure different dimension. If the dimension matches with what indicated on the plan,
then the scaling is all set. You can now start measuring your plan for estimates.
PROCEDURES IN IMPORTING ADDITIONAL PAGES
1. To add new pages in your window, select ADD PAGES located on the Page Tab or you may
simply click the GREEN PLUS (+) SYMBOL on the top of the Pages, Bookmarks Pan.
An Add Page Window will appear.

2. The Add Pages Windows has three options available. The ‘From Image Files’ is the default
selection. But selection still depends on preferences.
Use ‘From Image Files’ if you already downloaded the page to your computer. Use ‘Blank Page’
if you need to add an empty page to your plan. Use ‘From Clipboard’ if you copy an image and
you would like to load it in your job. Once you have selected, click NEXT.
3. BROWSE the additional file/blueprint you wanted to import from your computer. Then click
NEXT.

4. A CONVERT SETTING dialouge box will appear.


Check all the marks as shown in the picture below. This will allow the software to run your
PDF file a little bit faster performance. Then, click NEXT and FINISH.
5. Now, the new pages is now added to your SwiftJob.
