Chapter 6 Topic 2

Briefly explain the following parts of a research:

A. Statement/Rationale of the Topic


 This contains the reasons why the researcher chooses to focus on a certain
topic. On this part the researcher needs to emphasize the significance and the
contribution of the research study to the community. This part is very important
because this will build the interest of the reader to continue to read the study and
find out the results. This paper needs to convince the readers that this study is
important.

B. Purpose of the Article


 They're usually structured to provide a summary of existing literature, analysis,
and comparison. Often, they identify specific gaps or problems and provide
recommendations for future research. Unlike original research articles, review
articles are considered as secondary literature. The goal of a research paper is
not to inform the reader what others have to say about a topic, but to draw on
what others have to say about a topic and engage the sources in order to
thoughtfully offer a unique perspective on the issue at hand.

C. Description of the Participants


 It indicates the information of the qualified respondents such as age, gender,
status and others that is under the scope of the conducted study. It also includes
the consent to participate on the said study.

D. Instruments/Materials Used
 This are the tools used to collect and analyze data for the conducted study or the
research. This could be tests, survey paper, scales, questionnaires, and other
more tools applicable or fit to gather data on a certain study.
E. Treatment/Analysis of Data
 The analyzation of data commonly applying statistical method to interpret the
results of the study. It can be done by tabulating, calculating, identifying the
mean and more ways to show visually the data of results gathered through the
instruments used. Remember any combined factor levels is called treatment.

F. Summary of Findings/Result
 This is the conclusion of the study takes place, the results are shown and
interpreted in a way that the readers can understand easily. The most important
results or outcome are indicated including the evidences and effect of the study
to the community, it identifies the pros and cons of the study.

G. Implications for the Field


 This explains the meaning of the research findings or results on a specific group,
population or field of study.
