1. What is communication?
- Communication is from the Latin term “Communicare” which
means “to share” or “to make common”.
2. What are the different natures of communication?

- Sender - the source of information or message, delivers message
to the receiver
- Message – the information, ideas, or thoughts conveyed by the
speaker in words of action
- Encoding – the process of converting the message into words,
actions, or other forms that’s the speaker understands
- Channel – this serves as the vehicle used in transmitting message
or ideas it can be personal or non – personal, written, verbal
(words), or =non verbal (actions, gestures, facial, expression) in
which encoded message is conveyed.
- Decoder - has both verbal and non-verbal forms of
communication. Decoding behavior without using words means
observing body language and its associated emotions.
- Receiver - The receiver can also be animate or inanimate. In this
case, it is in charge of receiving the message that the sender has
sent.
- Feedback - Feedback in communication refers to the response of
the receiver or audience.
