those from coronary heart disease and lung cancer, can be
avoided.

It can also be defined as a way of living that helps you enjoy


more aspects of your life. Health is not just about avoiding
a diseases. It is about physical, mental and social well-
being too.
How to live a healthy life

Here are some tips to live a healthy life:

● Eat a balanced diet with plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole


grains, and lean proteins
● Exercise regularly, aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate
activity every day
● Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water
● Get enough sleep, aim for 7-9 hours of sleep per night
● Manage stress through activities like meditation, yoga, or
exercise
● Avoid smoking and limit alcohol consumption
● Get regular check-ups and preventive screenings.

Steps taken by the Indian government towards
healthy living

● Swachh Bharat Abhiyan: This is a nationwide cleanliness campaign launched


by the government to improve public health by promoting hygiene and
sanitation.

Cardiovascular Diseases and Stroke (NPCDCS): This program aims to reduce
the burden of non-communicable diseases in India through early detection and
