Race Name: Shadowborn

Physical Description: Shadowborn are humanoid in shape, but are made entirely of
swirling shadow and darkness.
They have no discernible facial features, but their eyes glow with an otherworldly
light. They are completely
weightless and can move through solid objects as if they were not there.

Society: Shadowborn are native to the Shadowfell, a plane of darkness and shadow
that is connected to all other
planes of existence. They are a reclusive race, preferring to keep to themselves
and avoid contact with other
races. Shadowborn society is organized around powerful clans, each led by a
powerful shadowborn known as a
"Shadowlord". These Shadowlords hold sway over their clans through their mastery
of shadow magic.

Abilities: Shadowborn are able to manipulate shadows and darkness to their will.
They can use this ability to blend
into the shadows, becoming almost invisible to the naked eye. They can also use
their shadow magic to create illusory
copies of themselves, confuse and disorient their enemies, and even teleport short
distances. Shadowborn are also
immune to most forms of physical harm, as they are made of pure shadow and cannot
be harmed by normal weapons.
