business ownership. This class will include topics in types of business ownership, market and
opportunity analysis, business planning, price and promotional strategies, and financial analysis. It
will also include visits by current successful entrepreneurs. This class satisfies the fourth year math

Knowledge Matters simulation.

Course Requirements: There will be a variety of different assignments in this class, written
work, individual projects, and group projects are most common. Students are asked to take notes
whenever a lecture is given. You will do many assignments on your computer. Make sure to save your
work! Quarterly assessments will be comprehensive in nature.

Attendance: Part of being successful at any job is learning the responsibility of being prompt.
Punctual attendance in this class is very important. You are expected to attend class on time every
day. The attendance policy is in the BHS handbook and will be followed. IF we go online, you are
expected to stay actively engaged, daily.

Grading: Grading will be based on points. All assignments are given points and checked off. You
will lose points for not completing assignments, lack of neatness, or work labeled improperly. Points
from both card markings will be added together to obtain your semester grade. The percentage scale
used is the same as in the B.H.S. student handbook. Extra credit may be available.

ALL WORK MUST BE TURNED IN ON THE DAY IT IS DUE. LATE

ASSIGNMENTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED!
Make-up Work: It is the STUDENT’S RESPONSIBILITY to find out what they missed when
they were absent. Google Classroom, my website, and my email are great resources to help answer
questions concerning what you missed and what you made up. There should be no excuses!
