2. Describe the Millennials and Nexters

or Generation Z employees in the
workplace.
Millennials as those born between 1981–1997. This means that in 2021, Millennials
will be in the 24-40 range. Millennials are the first generation to grow up using the
internet and information technology from a very young age. They are typically
confident and sometimes over confident due to highly involved or exposure to the
internet and modern technologies and in the workplace, they are confident,
ambitious, driven by high achievement and have equally high expectations of their
employers. Nexters also called Millennials are born from 1981-2000 ages under 21
so they are competitive in the workplace. Generation Z values salary less than every
other generation they are those who were born between 1997 and 2015, this puts
the age group for Gen Z’ers in the range of 6-24 years old in 2021. Millennials were
optimistic in the workplace they are comfortable with consuming information
across a range of platforms mobile, tablets and games consoles, leading to them
being hyper-cognitive and the best informed across any age group.

3. Contrast web browsers to search engines and provide examples.

A browser is your access to the internet, and a search engine allows you to search the
internet once you have access. You have to use a browser to get to a search engine.

Examples of browser

· Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Opera mini and Google Chrome.

Examples of search engines

· Google, Yahoo, and Bing .

4. Differentiate between website and web application. Provide a screen layout.

Website is a set of related web pages located under a single domain. A collection of web
pages which are grouped together and usually connected together in various ways. Often
called a "web site" or a "site." while web application is a software or program which is
accessible using any web browser.

5. Takeaway/s for today’s discussion.

In this discussion I learned the difference between a web page and a website. Website is a set of
related web pages located under a single domain while a web page is a software or program
which is accessible using any web browser. In this discussion it was all clear for me now that
a browser is the access to our internet while a search engine allows you to search the internet
once you have access. I also learned that https is secured one while http is not secure at all.

We also talked about a software program that is used by a computer. Software can be broadly
divided into two categories of operating systems and application software. Operating systems
manage the hardware and create the interface between the hardware and the user. Next is
cloud computing, cloud computing is powered by the internet and it's for backup purposes.
There are two types of cloud computing the first one is Public cloud this can be used for
everyone and the second is Private cloud this is only owned by single person.
