Give a concise explanation on the following items:

1. How important historical writings to the person, group and country ?Explain

Historical writings is important to a person, group, and country since it shows the origins or past events
that leads us to what we have today. Historical writings reveals a person's ethnicity or nationality which
shows what group a person belongs to in the past and in the present. It gives us the knowledge on how
are country are made and developed throughout these years. Historical writings are the instruments or
means to understand our past.

2. Discuss the importance of Historical Analysis.

Historical analysis is what people needed to get and learn verified and reliable facts about history. It
requires looking through various records, artifacts, data, and websites. Historical analysis is an important
component of Historical method process that brings it to a close. Without Historical analysis, the
Historical techniques cannot be developed and the method will be devoid of sufficient documentation.

3. How do you give meaning to the so called “HISTORY”? Discuss

History is the study of past events or phenomena. History shows us the origin of things and how they
developed throughout the years up until the present. History records the most important events not
only in one place but in the whole world. History also shows us the heroism of various kind of people
that gave us the peaceful place we live in the present. History tells us to look back to the past and
acknowledge the efforts made by our ancestors for us to live in a comfortable way in the present as well
as in the future.

4. Explain the difference between factual history and speculative history.

Factual History presents readers the plain and the basic information,the events that took place (what) ,
the time and date with which the events happened (when), the place with which the events took
place,and the people were involved (who). Factual History offered data and informations that is
primarily made up of pure facts that have previously been verified. Factual History refers to the
historical events that have strong proof or evidence that they actually occured and can be verified
through documentation. On the other hand, Speculative History goes beyond facts because it is
concerned about the reasons for which events happened (why), and the way they happened (how). It
refers to speculations, opinions, and facts based solely on guesswork and that can be seen from several
perspectives. Speculative history refers to historical events for which there is no strong evidence that
they occurred or existed, and people tend to have differing opinions and interpretations of what
happened.
