1.

Develop a 30-minute SCS triangular unit hydrograph for a watershed of area 500 ha
and time of concentration of 40 minutes. Convert the triangular unit hydrograph into
SCS Unit Hydrograph with the use of Table below.

2. Compute the area-weighted curve number for a hypothetical watershed of two type of
soils covering 1300 sq. km and 700 sq. km and exhibiting curve number 80 and 55,
respectively. Slope of watershed is 0.5% and hydraulic length of watershed is 3,050
m. Net rainfall is 5.0 cm during the rainfall of 6 hr. Compute the parameters of the
SCS triangular hydrograph and draw the SCS Triangular Direct Runoff Hydrograph.

3. In Question Number 2, if 2 cm of Rainfall falls over first 3 hrs. and 3 cm of rainfall

falls over the next 3 hrs. For these rainfall conditions, compute the parameters of SCS
Triangular Hydrograph and draw the SCS Triangular Direct Runoff Hydrograph.
Convert the triangular Direct Runoff Hydrograph to it’s Unit Hydrograph for these
rainfall conditions.
