I-Witness: "Iskul Ko, No. 1!," a documentary by Sandra Aguinaldo

3. Who?What is the subject of the documentary
Us the students,the subject of the documentary is about us Because
Some people is so ungrateful because its traffic,slow vehicles, and some
even complain about walking to school even though there houses is just
a bit far from school,And the children from the video don’t even have
enough money to use public vehicles they walk to school all day
everyday that’s why we need to be grateful because we can afford to use
public transportation.
4. What are the main events/scenes of the documentary
The main events of the documentary is the children walks to school and
back with just slippers washing there feet in the running water, even the
students teach the lower grades,And the teachers especially Maam Lea
Gabriel The math teacher of Sindangan Elementary School is teaching
the children a new and fun way to study math because some of us
including me is slow at math and because of the way she teaches math to
the kids its easy and more fun to learn the subject,And Abigail Cortina a
student of Sindangan is good at teaching and telling stories to the
children and she even using her own pocket money to buy treats to the
kids that she`s teaching even though she doesn’t have so much
money,and my favorite part is even though the way to school is difficult
it was not a hindrance for taking the first place of the best performing
schools in the National Achievment Test of 2006 examination for Grade
Six that was conducted nationwide last March 2006 with a rating of
93.84 and in 2007 they got a rating of 94.86
5.How does the documentary show evidence of research?
It shows evidence of research because the documenter Sandra Aguinaldo
even search the school`s rating place and conditions of the school and
she knows who is the teachers of the school
6.What gives the documentary substance?
The message it contains,it contains beautiful message about being
grateful for what you have and not what you don’t have because there
are people all over the world that wishes that they have what you have
so be grateful for everything that you have now big or small be grateful,
and another one substance the video have is no matter what obstacle is in
your way you can push through it no matter what that’s why they even
got first place of the bestperforming schools in the national achievement
test
7. Is the documentary presented in an interesting way? Explain why or
why not?
Its presented in an interesting way,why? Because other documentaries
like these don’t show any where abouts of the school, and some even
don’t show the way to school how difficult the way is some just show
you the school the video was presented like the show rated K or Jessica
soho because the video is full of information they did their research and
sometimes they even do backround checks so they knew all of the
information about the video that they will make so that their viewers will
know everything because all the information is in the video,the video
has a very beautiful message about being grateful for what you have, and
the message is very heartwarming that’s why the video ispresented in a
very interesting and brilliant way
8. What did you learn from the documentary?
I learned many things in this documentary encludint for what I said
before be very grateful for what you have because somewhere in the
world there is someone who is struggling to buy/afford it some people
even starve for days and now some people is still complaining for what
they don’t have while somebody's struggle ling to even aford for what
you’ve taken for granted,and I leard also that no matter what the
problem,the obstacle there is you can push through if you work hard
enough and in the end you hard work will pay off that’s why we need to
work hard so we can achieve our dreams
9. what are the strengths and weaknesses of the documentary?
Theres not many weaknesses ive seen exept having a low quality video
and it’s a little too short and the strengths of the video is like what I said
before it has a beautiful message full of information and I hope they wil
keep it up
10. Would you recommend it for others to watch it?
Yes I highly recommend for anyone to watch this documentary because
it has an heartwarming message and i hope that everyone that watches
the video will like it too
