CONDUCT OF THE 2022 4th QUARTER NATIONWIDE SIMULTANEOUS

EARTHQUAKE DRILL (NSED)

1. Pursuant to OUA MEMO 00-0222-0171, entitled, Reiteration of Participation to

2022 1st Quarterly Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill Activities. The
Department of Education (DepEd) Through the Disaster Risk Reduction and
Management Service (DRRMS) reiterates the schedule and guidelines for the
conduct of the Third (3rd) Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill
(NSED) on November 10, 2022, at 9:00 o’clock in the morning.

2. In adherence to the COVID-19 required health standards, NSED exercises

requiring physical interaction, particularly evacuation drills in schools are optional.

3. However, All School personnel and learners are enjoined to simultaneously

practice the “duck, cover, and hold” procedure at the set times.

4. To ensure awareness and preparedness on the impending threat of the inevitable

occurrence of an earthquake even during the pandemic.

5. For immediate dissemination and appropriate action.
