ASSESSMENT FOR PAE (ROUTE B)

EXAMINATION REGULATIONS

Please read these instructions carefully.

1. Time and venue.

1) The details on the date, time and venue of the assessment will be
notified to the candidates at least two weeks before the assessment
date.
2) The candidates are required to confirm their attendance.
3) The assessment room will be opened for entry 15 minutes before the
scheduled time of assessment.

2. Personal Belongings

1) The candidate must switch off the phone during the assessment.
2) All personal items other than stationaries used for answering the
questions (pen, etc.) should be placed next to the candidate.
3) Any unauthorized materials such as electronic devices with
communication capabilities, tablet PC, laptop, and portable
audio/video/gaming devices are not permitted into the assessment
room.
4) The candidates are permitted to bring the hard copy of Engineers Act
1967 and the Registration of Engineers Regulations 1990 into the
assessment room.

3. At the Start of the Assessment

1) Only A4 lined answer pads will be provided by BEM. Candidates are

required to bring in other stationaries (pen, calculator, etc.).
2) DO NOT open the question paper placed on the desk until instructed to
do so by the examiner.
3) Write your name and GE registration number correctly at the top left
corner of the answer sheet.

4. During the Assessment

1) You are not allowed to communicate verbally or in any other mode with
other candidates until the answer sheets are collected.
2) Raise your hand if you wish to have additional answer sheets.
3) Once you have entered the assessment room, you are not allowed to
leave the room. The candidate may leave the room after 1 hour
assessment if they completed the assessment.
