Guidelines for Students

Instructions to Candidates

Writing

The Writing Test is conducted at your faculty.

1. Check with your faculty to determine the slot that you have been assigned to.
2. Be at the assigned venue at least 30 minutes before the writing test begins. The paper is
for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
3. Remember to bring the following items with you:
i) MyKad
ii) Student ID
iii) Printed exam slip
iv) Stationery

*No other materials are allowed in the examination room

4. Register your attendance with the invigilators at the venue.


5. You will be directed to your respective seat by the invigilators. You are not assigned to a
specific table, but must sit with your fellow group mates (class).
6. Place items i, ii, and iii at the top right corner of your table throughout the test.
7. Switch off your handphones and leave it on the floor.
8. Follow the instructions given by the invigilators.
9. You are advised to spend no more than 40 minutes on Task 1, and 50 minutes on Task
2. Be sure that your handwriting is legible.
10. You are not allowed to leave the examination room during the first 30 minutes and the
last 30 minutes of the test.
11. You can only leave the examination room when permitted by the invigilators.
