REMINDERTOINVIGILATORS

Dear Members of Staf

Thank you for your continued support as we commence our Term ll End of Term Examinations. Please note

the following.

Whilst promptly attending respective supervision venues, please ensure that:


A.

1. All question papers must be collected immediately after each exam

2 All question-and-answer papers must be delivered immediately upon completion to the relevant
subject teachers.
3. Afternoon session begin at 12 pm.
4. The room is kept tidy before and after supervision.

5. Bags are stored at the front of the room


6. The whiteboard is clean and start and stop times must be recorded.
7. Students have ONLY what is necessary for the examination.
8. Students are aware of the cell phone/smart devices policy in exams.
9. Students are reminded NOT to have their cell phones/smart devices on them.

10. Class is quiet before distributing exam scripts


11.Students are aware of any specialized instructions.
12.At least one subject level teacher must visit the room within the first hour ofthe exam to facilitate

Please remind students that the following are not allowed in the exam:

2. Each student is responsible for providing his own stapler. There is to be NO borrowing in the
exam.
3 After distribution of scripts, please ensure that students sign the roll sheet.

A. Please be VIGILANT during the examination. Monitor students while walking around the room.
In order to do this, invigilators MUST NOT

(a) Mark exam scripts during their supervision.


b) Leave the room unless there is someone else who can replace them.

5. The use of a personal cell phone should be limited to emergency situations ONLY.
6. In cases where there is a query on the paper, the Head of Department and/or any identified
subject teachers who signed the paper should be contacted directly.

7. The invigilator has the authority to:

(a) Rearrange the seating if he/she suspect that attempts would be made by students to
communicate amongst themselves in the exam room.
(b) Check the examination pad, geometry sets, calculators etc. for hidden material.
Ask students to empty under their desks
(d) Use their discretion to allow bathroom breaks.

8. In any suspected cases of communication in the exam, the invigilator should: (a) Report the
incident on the invigilator's comment section of the roll sheet. (b) Report to the relevant Head of
Department or Dean.
