SOURCE OF SOUND:

• OUTSIDE NOISE FROM THE WINDOWS

• HALLWAY
• ADJACENT ROOMS

EXISTING LAYOUT:

The room is located at the third floor of CEAFA building. The noise outside the room is coming mainly from
the hallway that connects the rooms and the adjacent rooms. Considering the room's elevation from the
ground floor level of the building, minimal noise is heard from the outside of the windows. Considering
the existing position of the doors and windows the source of sound is located at the end of the room
which is the one not facing the door. And the receiver’s location is as same as the classroom set up, facing
the end corner of the room which the source of sound is located. Source of sound is located in which there
is no door for the reason of, it would be a distraction if someone will enter and that will interrupt the
source of sound to speak. And to also lessen the noise from the outside, so that the source of sound will
be the only sound heard in the room. The receivers will be facing the source of sound for them to clearly
hear the sound.

TREATED ROOM LAYOUT:

In comparison, after the existing room transformed into a chapel, we’ve found out that there is an
additional sound source. Inside of the chapel, mainly the speaker will be the source of the sound followed
by the people attending the mass. As mentioned earlier. There is a hallway alongside the room which
where people often pass by back and forth creating noise outside of the structure. As for the adjacent
rooms, the reason this was included in our source of sound is because there is a big possibility that the
other rooms might be occupied and it’ll create an additional noise pollution affecting the proposed
project. another source of sound is the existing windows. The proposed project is located at the 3rd floor
of CEAFA Building, the window is incorporated inside of the chapel which are adjacent to an open area
below where people can walk and hang out freely where sometimes the noise can reach the third floor
