QUESTION 1

The requirement for a student pilot license is; first, the applicant must not be less than 16 years
of Age. To be able to read, speak and understand English and holds a current Class 2 Medical
Certificate. For its pre-solo flight instruction, the student pilot should have received and logged
flight training and Knowledge to demonstrate satisfactory proficiency and safety on the
maneuvers and procedures listed in IS 2.3.3.1. For the student pilot's solo flight requirement, the
student must hold at least a Class 2 Medical Certificate, receive and logged ground training from
an authorized instructor, and be authorized by a Flight instructor.

QUESTION 2

For private pilot license applicants, the following are the requirements:
a.) Age. Shall not be less than 17 years of Age.
b.) Knowledge. Shall receive and log ground training regarding the subjects needed for the
course such as:
 Air law
 Aircraft general knowledge
 Flight performance and planning
 Human performance
 Meteorology
 Navigation
 Operational Procedures
 Principles of flight
 Radiotelephony
Must receive an endorsement for the knowledge test and pass the said test.
c.) Experience. The student pilot must complete not less than 40 hours of flight (pilot of
airplanes) and completed 5 hours of flying (simulator or flight procedures trainer). 
In addition, 10 hours of solo flight under the supervision of a flight instructor and 5 hours of solo
cross-country flight time. 
The pilot license holder may be credited with 10 hours of the flight time as pilot-in-command
towards a PPL.
d.) Flight Instruction. Shall receive and log not less than 20 hours of dual instruction—instructor
ensuring the applicant's operational Experience.
Shall receive 4 hours dual instruction in airplanes at night and an hour of navigation if the
PPL(A) privileges are exercised.
e.) Skill. Must receive an endorsement from an authorized instructor and passing the skill test
ability to perform as pilot-in-command of an airplane. 
f.) Medical Fitness. Holds a current Class 2 Medical Certificate.
g.) Privileges. To act, but not for remuneration, as pilot-in-command or co-pilot of any Airplane
engaged in non-revenue flights. 
h.) Validity. 5 years for the validity of the license.

The following are the requirement for a commercial pilot license:
a.) Age. Shall not be less than 18 years of age.
b.) Knowledge. Shall receive and log ground training regarding the subjects needed for the
course such as:
 Air law
 Aircraft general knowledge
 Flight performance and planning
 Human performance
 Meteorology
 Navigation
 Operational Procedures
 Principles of flight
 Radiotelephony
Must receive an endorsement for the knowledge test and pass the said test.
c.) Experience. The applicant must complete not less than 200 hours of flight or 150 hours during
an Authority-approved training course and finished 10 hours of flying (simulator or flight
procedures trainer). 
In addition, 100 hours or 70 hours as pilot-in-command; 20 hours of cross-country flight time; 10
hours of instrument instruction time; and 5 hours of night flight with five take-offs and five
landings.
The pilot license holder may be credited with 200 hours of the flight time. 
Shall hold a PPL(A).
d.) Flight Instruction. Shall receive and log not less than 25 hours of dual instruction (5 hours for
flight simulator or flight procedures trainer)—instructor ensuring the applicant's operational
Experience.
Shall receive 4 hours dual instruction in airplanes at night, including take-offs, landing, and an
hour of navigation. 
In addition, the completion of on-airplane recovery training and upset prevention.
e.) Skill. Must receive an endorsement from an authorized instructor and passing the skill test
ability to perform as pilot-in-command of an airplane. 
f.) Medical Fitness. Holds a current Class 2 Medical Certificate.
g.) Privileges. To exercise all privileges of being a holder. To act as pilot-in-command in an
airplane engaged in commercial air transportation for single-pilot operation or operated with a
co-pilot and operations other than commercial air transportation.
h.) Validity. 5 years for the validity of the license.
