represents my nation and my provenance.

My mother has always told me that I started talking around the age of one year. I used
the word "mama." My home is my first school, and my parents are the first teachers who
taught me how to speak my mother tongue, Filipino.
As I grow older and begin to communicate and learn the language known as Zambali/
Sambali or sambal for short, it is known to the people of Zambales as the Sambali language
and is the traditional language in that area. I learn or adopt my first language by hearing,
listening to, understanding, and imitating my parents and everything around me. Also,
because I was born in Zambales, I adopted a language called Sambal that we use when
communicating.
I learned some English words in Grade 5 by listening to my teacher and reading some
books. Despite the fact that I am not a professional, it enables me to communicate with
relatives in other countries. Up until now, I've struggled to learn the English language
because I'm not used to it, and also because some jargon words are unfamiliar to me. I don't
understand it completely, but I'm eager to learn more for my future job.

of the Filipinos, and it also showcases the culture and traditions of the Filipino using the

While the weakness of my language, Filipino and English, is that not everyone knows
how to speak Filipino and English, especially in other countries where people choose to
speak what is common to them, not everyone understands one another because they don't
know how to speak or understand the language.
My first language, Tagalog or Filipino, is my favourite because it represents my
nation and my origins. It also uses these languages to showcase Filipino culture and tradition.
Using my first language also allows me to easily express my emotions and feelings to others.
It is critical to understand more about other people's languages so that we can
communicate with them effectively. Is it not a good idea to learn part of the language? As the
quote goes, "learning another language is like becoming another person."
