(AWS) functioning across Telangana state  1044
 Telangana is a semi-arid area and has predominantly hot and dry climate

 The highest temperatures are recorded in Ramagundam (Peddapalli district), Kothagudem
and Bhadrachalam upto 48°C

 Medak, Rangareddy and Mahbubnagar districts get low temperatures during the summer
as these are located above 600m mean sea level

 Highest temperature 48.9°C for the year 2013-2020 recorded in Mancherial (Dandepalle),
Jagityal (Dharmapuri), Jayashankar Bhoopalapally (Ghanpur, Mulugu), Nalgonda
(Madugulapally), Suryapet (Chinthalapalem)
 In the years 2013-2020 the lowest temperature records in Kohir of Sangareddy district
recorded 2°C

 As per IMD reports 2019, the highest annual rainfall 1292 mm is recorded in Mulugu
district
 According to the geographical distribution of rainfall, the southern districts are receiving
less rainfall than the northern districts of the state
