Today I Experienced following sensory adaptations:

As a young boy who rides a bike, I have experienced visual adaptation when transitioning from a brightly
lit area to a darker one. I went from riding in the sun to passing under a bridge, my eyes quickly adjusted
to the change in light levels so that I can still see clearly. This is an example of visual adaptation because
my eyes have adjusted to the changing levels of light, allowing me to maintain clear vision. Also I have
experienced auditory adaptation when riding my bike near loud traffic. I have noticed that the sound of
the cars and trucks become less noticeable the longer I was close to it. This is an example of auditory
adaptation because my ears have become less sensitive to the sounds around me, allowing me to filter
out background noise and focus on other sounds. Finally, I have experienced tactile adaptation when
riding my bike over rough terrain. I have noticed that the bumps and vibrations from the road become
less noticeable the longer I ride. This is an example of tactile adaptation because my sense of touch has
become less sensitive to the sensations, allowing me to better handle the rough terrain and continue
riding.
