0% for the next 5 years
• The Philippine Government has also reduced the tariff’s on certain
parts of electric vehicles from 3% to 1%
• All this is to urge the Filipino public to see electric vehicles as a
cleaner mode of transportation
 How this affects Marketing and
Business
• It allows companies to reduce prices of goods due to EVS being
cheaper than a diesel vehicle
• Diesel Vehicle full tank = P2880 (P64 x 45 liters) good for 200-400 miles
depending on the engine
• Electric Vehicle full charge = around P600 (60kWh x 9.94 per kWh) good for
around 200 miles
• This affects the marketing as lower transportation prices means that us
marketers will have to calculate the new prices or sizes of our products to
keep the same profit margin
