Topic: How National Service Training Program helps

our country in terms of Safety and Security, Education
and Enhancement of the Community? Cite at least 1 or

According to the Republic act No. 9163 or also known as the “National
Service Training Program” this action declares as prime duty of our government
which aim to protect and serve citizens. In return all the citizens must protect
the state, thereof the government may require to citizens to render personal,
military or civil service. Service learning, an approach that integrates
community services with instruction to apply what students have learned
inside the classroom to the real-world context in order to concretize learning
and, more importantly, strengthen civic and community responsibilities, is one
way to increase students' civic consciousness and community engagement. It
should take into account the full understanding of the value of long-term
volunteerism as well as the program objectives established for schools based on
the underlying motivations.

When the pandemic (COVID-19) appears in 2020, it will be a slap to all

citizens. All the news on television said that the face-to-face education of all
students had been stopped. People at that time were afraid for their safety and
security because this virus could spread through the air and it couldn’t be
stopped. The enhancement of our community has been demolished. As I’ve
read the article about "For poor Filipinos during the pandemic, Bayan
Bayanihan brings food and hope," all the military responses are doing their
duty to protect and secure every citizen, and even college students volunteer
for this program, which is actually one of the goals of NSTP to motivate, train,
organize and involve the youth in military, civic welfare program and other
related endeavours in the service of the nation.
 In terms of education, this is where all students are aware of the
purpose of Nstp and UP Diliman. Based on their article, they continue service
to the Filipino people. One of their projects in Nstp is "Magtanim, at
Pakinabangan". The purpose of their project is to help others while facing this
pandemic through the vegetables they planted. The Journal from the Risa’s
blog” it says “The program was established to train the youth for defense and
preparedness to serve the country in times of disaster or calamity, but the one
who will benefit the most in this program are the student and youth.”

As a conclusion, NSTP was made for us to be responsible and well

trained in servicing our fellow. When we volunteer it has a huge help to our
community and it enhances our community where we live.
