The Editor of Festival Magazine,

St. Michael’s Walk,
Tipton

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing with reference to your request to submit a description of the recently attended festival.
I would like to share with you some information on the Electrical Engineer’s Day I took part in on 3 rd of
September 2021. It took place in Dzieje Park in Murowana Goslina near Poznan.

The Electrical Engineer’s Day is a Polish event celebrated by people who work in the electrical
engineering industry. It started in 1956. This event is organized every year by Enea for its employees,
their families or friends.

The whole celebration began with speeches given by our company chairman and the board of directors,
followed by the ceremony of giving decorations to well-deserved employees. What I find special about
this year Electrical Engineer’s Day was the variety of attractions available for all of us. The most
interesting were planting workshops during which I learnt how to create different compositions from
various plant species, either inside jars or to be framed as a picture. This was a great way to express and
promote creativity and bring my workmates closer together. No less attractive was the Olympics area
where we could get a photo with or talk to such Polish medalists of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games as
Katarzyna Zillmann, Marta Wieliczko and Tadeusz Michalik. Everyone could test their knowledge on the
latest Olympics by taking part in a quiz and the main prize to win was the long distance balloon flight. At
the end of the festival, there was a laser lightning display, followed by the concert of Varius Manx.

The Electrical Engineer’s Day, being an interdepartmental festival, allows people for further
acquaintance with other workmates whom they previously only called or emailed at work. Furthermore,
this event is an effective communication tool that enables and fosters interpersonal relationships and
improves working mood. It also boosts motivation and gives a lot of fun.

Although the festival was well organized, I must admit that food provided could be better and more
types of soup or main courses or salads should be on the offer. Another problem was too few and not so
pleasant toilets.

I hope you will find my description interesting and look forward to hearing from you soon.

Your faithfully,

Y. Boinska
