Community Nutrition

Summary Improve appropriate nutrition behavior and utilization of nutrition


services to improve the nutritional status among women and children in
Ethiopia.

Specific Objectives 1. improve household level knowledge and skills to facilitate


adoption of better nutrition practices and health seeking behaviors.
2. strengthen community engagement and service utilization in
formalizing linkages between communities and nutrition services
at primary health care facilities.
3. facilitate stakeholder engagement to ensure strengthened capacity
and coordination of nutrition-specific interventions and
investments.

Where are we now? We have put out a Request for Information in June/July 2022 to seek
input and feedback from the global, regional, and local experts and
responses are being inculcated into the final project description. We
will also share more detailed info with other donors to ensure no
duplication of efforts but alignment in interventions to support
greater coverage. Industry day in Addis Ababa, Bahirdar and Hawassa
planned in the coming weeks to share the details of the activity and get
clarifications to local stakeholders.
