Aims:
This module is intended to give students a basic overview of the merchandiser's work in the
global Fashion & Garment Industry in order to underpin all aspects of Ready Made Garment
Business study.

Objectives:
By the end of the module, Students will be able to demonstrate:
• To make the student understand about Global Business of Ready Made Garment.
• To make understand behavioral aspects of Consumers, Buyers, Manufacturers, Suppliers and
base producers from the global perspective.
• Understand the role of a Merchandiser in Bangladesh Ready Made Garment Business.
• Understand the Ready Made Garment Manufacturing Process.
• Understand the importance of Quality of a Ready Made garment.

Note: All assignment has to be submitted by due date only. 3% mark will deducted by each
date. No assignment will be granted after 2 Classes of the due time.

INSTRUCTOR'S POLICIES
ATTENDANCE
Students are expected to attend class, arriving in a punctual manner. After 10 minutes of class
starting; no student would get permission to enter into the class.

ID will be called at the beginning of the class. If the student misses for this, it will be the student's
responsibility to see the instructor after class to gain credit for attendance. The student is
responsible for all material covered during any class missed, and should take the initiative to meet
with a classmate to acquire missed information.

Every 3rd tardy will convert to an unexcused absence.

MAINTENANCE
Students should maintain the cleanliness of classroom, walls, chairs, desks, as well as the working
area. Students are required to clean their working areas 5 minutes before end of class.

 The instructor of record determines all grades for each project, in class work, and
attendance.
 Students should be responsible in keeping their own belongings safe and protected during
the class.
 d. Students should bring their own equipments & tools in every class which required.
 Students should be aware of keeping their class assessment copy safe from not being
stolen.

ETHICS AND PLAGIARISM


Students may experience serious punishment for violating the usual academic ethics. Also, if
“plagiarism” is detected during the presentation assignment submission or project of someone,
she/he will be suspended for that presentation/ assignment or project.

Exam notice

Exam notice will be given to the students a week earlier. If a student missed the class, it is her/his
responsibility to consult with the Faculty/TA/peers. Please be informed that no excuse will be
granted simply because someone was absent at previous class and did not know the exam notice.
No make-up exams will be given after the scheduled exam date. In case of class test, average of
TWO will be counted.
