Lesson idea implementation:

As the students enter the gym, they should go to their assigned number located on the floor. The teacher will
introduce the lesson of learning how to throw a ball. The teacher will pick a volunteer to help demonstrate the
steps of throwing which include stance, stride and follow through. After the teacher has demonstrated, He or
she will go over the first task. The first task entails students to pick a partner and a foam junior sized football.
Students will be at a horizontal direction in the gym from side to side and be 15 feet from each other. Next,
task two will include students to pick a yarn ball and take 5 steps back.
After the completion of the two tasks, the class will go to the computer lab. The teacher will introduce Adobe
Spark and MS Sway and an example of the step by step throwing process adobe created by the teacher. The
students will take some time to get used to the online pages. The teacher will then advise the students to
create a step- by- step tutorial of the correct way to throw. This will include the three steps which are stance,
stride, and follow through. The students will also need to include pictures, audio, and text. Using Adobe
express and sway will help the students remember the three steps of throwing and also learning new
technology.

Reflective Practice:
After designing this lesson, I feel the activities that I created will help impact student learning by allowing

them to practice the skill. This lesson is an introductory activity to a throwing and catching unit. To further
extend the lesson the students could play multiple games that include flag football, whiffle ball etc. These
activities will help the students implement their throwing skills into a real game. Adobe express will also help
with implementing technology and will help the students create and customize slides related to throwing.
