What is Robotics?
Robotics is the study of robots. It deals with design, construction,
program, and the applications of robot.

What is a Robot?
A robot is a programmable machine that is designed to perform
or execute the given task.
The main components of robots are processor (brain of the
robot), motors and sensors.
Robots can be in any shape, size and color.

Characteristics of Robots

Sensing: A robot can sense its surroundings with several sensors.

Movement: A robot can move around its environment. Whether rolling on

wheels, walking on legs or propelling by thrusters a robot needs to be able to
move.

Energy: A robot can be operated with the help of power supplies such as
batteries.

Intelligence: The robot brain can receive the instructions and perform the
given task.
