Universal Design for Learning (UDL): I would cover all three principles of the UDL wheel by doing the
following. I will address the first principle by giving multiple representations. Not only will I be showing them
what to do, the edpuzzle video will be doing that as well. The second principle is giving more than one means
of expression so with this they will be able to refer to me and the edpuzzle instructional video. Lastly, I will get
them engaged and excited by using technology to be successful at a task.
Lesson idea implementation: The students will watch the video as they perform free throws. Bouncing back
and forth and making changes where needed. I will be able to walk around and observe and correct as well. I
will get them excited by talking about basketball or any recent news in the NBA recently before the lesson
begins. From start to finish this should take about 50 minutes to complete. Students will be assessed by
shooting 10 free throws with proper form and they are to try to make more than 50%.

I will allow students freedom of re watching the videos and trying over and over again. I will conclude the
lesson by bringing everyone together and asking what they learned today. I will ask a couple wrap of
questions on what they should of learned that day so I know we are making progress. Lastly, I will ask for a
volunteer to demonstrate a free throw. I will be walking around giving congruent feedback on everyone’s free
throw attempts. I will take notes on each student and let them know where I feel like they can improve.

Reflective Practice: I think my activity will positively impact student learning by getting them excited to use
their technology and learn a different way than just talking then doing. A free throw is a very basic shot in the
game of basketball so after this lesson we could go into how to shoot a three pointer or layups. There are
other ways to incorporate technology into this lesson I just chose edpuzzle because the students could re
watch the video as many times as they wanted, interact with the video, and view it from home.
