Global Operations Project Manager Electrolux Professional (Thailand) Co,.Ltd 1st July2021 to Present

In March 2021 Electrolux Professional’s new state-of-the-art, 18,000 sqm factory in Rayong officially opened
with a “Masterkey” handover ceremony. Constructed during the year of the pandemic in 2020 with a delay to
the initial project of less than 20 days, this concluded my role as the Locally based Program Manager for this
enterprise . In June 2021 a “virtual Grand Soft Opening” attended by VIP’s in Thailand (including the Swedish
Ambassador to Thailand) and VIP’s in Sweden; CEO and Senior Board members and the leadership team
rounded off the final phase of the program.
As a part of the wider team responsible for this successful project I changed roles from daily Global
Operations Factory Management to a more focused role aimed at driving through the growth ambitions of the
Thai operation in the coming years. With projects covering “Transitional” imperatives (Single solution ERP
systems deployment) as well as expanding the Thai footprint through more vertical growth objectives.

Managing Director Electrolux Professional (Thailand) Co,.Ltd (1st October 2019 to Present)
In November 2018 I was asked to Identify and purchase land to create a new combined manufacturing site
for the two operations of Electrolux Professional and Crathco beverage systems (part of an acquisition made
in 2017 of the Grind Master Cecilware, Crathco group) based in Thailand. The ROI rational at that time was
“Manufacturing footprint rationalization”.
In January 2019 the Electrolux AB Board announced the intention to “Spin-Off” the Electrolux Professional
Business Unit from the main Electrolux Group with the aim of separate stock exchange listing on NASDAQ
and the Swedish Stock exchange in early 2020.
In March 2019 I was appointed Program Manager for the new factory construction project.
In April 2019 I was appointed Country Project Manager Thailand for the separation and listing compliance
workstreams covering; Tax and Structure, HR, IT, Legal, Communication, Operations, Finance and
Investment case. To satisfy this “separation” governance I was asked to create a new legal entity for the
Electrolux Professional Thailand operations.
On 1st October 2019 I was appointed Managing Director of the new entity “Electrolux Professional (Thailand)
Co,.Ltd”. The official groundbreaking and construction start of the new Manufacturing facility for the
combined operations was carried out in December 2019 with target for Practical completion December 2020.

ELECTROLUX PROFESSIONAL DIVISION, CO. LTD., Rayong 21120 Thailand.


Plant Manager Electrolux Professional ELS (1/2018 to 1st October 2019)
Manage the Industrial Operations activities for the Electrolux Professional Plant based in Rayong Thailand.
Responsibility for P+L and manufacture of Professional Laundry products, Food service products for the
hospitality Industry. Serving customer bases in Europe, North America, India, China, Japan and SEA. Size
of operation currently 15K sqm with employee headcount of 210.Deployment and adherence to EPS 2.0
(Electrolux Production System based on 10 pillar Toyota WCM transformation tool) to satisfy customer
demands.

ELECTROLUX MAJOR APPLIANCES, CO. LTD., Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China


Global R&D Director, Asia-Pacific Region, Food Preparation (1/2011 to 12/2017)
Directed two R&D facilities (Australia and China 110 h/count) in executing new product research, design and
development in accordance with the Food Preparation Product Line strategic ambitions and priorities for the
Asia-Pacific region. Planned and executed R&D activities, and coordinated the release of built-in ovens, free-
standing ovens, air extraction hoods and gas/electric cooktops to the market through internal OEM and ODM
suppliers. Driving the regional ambitions for IOT and connectivity in H1-H3 planning.
Selected Contributions:
♦ Defined and implemented short, medium and long-range growth plans designed to expand R&D
center Global capabilities. Expedite NPIs for NA, LA,EU and specifically for the CN market.
♦ Collaboration with Global R&D Directors in three global regions, and working with the Global
Technology, Advanced Development and Major Appliances Senior Leadership Teams in deploying
the Global Modularization Strategy to establish consistency and inspire innovation across global NPI
and product lifecycle management (PLM).
♦ Built an innovation culture by rolling out the Electrolux Innovation Activation Initiative at the regional
and Global level.
♦ Spearheaded cost-reduction and supplier optimization efforts that included establishing Satellite
Teams based in China for the three Global Regions and Technology / Advanced Development and
Open Innovation work-streams. Established a UL Satellite approved Global Support laboratory to
speed and streamline the approval of Global benefit cost reduction projects..

Engineering Director, Consumer DIY Group (4/2001 to 12/2010)
’01 Joined as Senior Design Engineer for Black & Decker Power Tools Consumer Power Tools Group (CPG)
and led one of the first joint UK – CN New Product Development Projects. Undertook three year Foreign
Service Assignment in China. Based in Suzhou CN CPG Engineering. Promoted to CPG Global Portfolio
Engineering Manager in '03. Delivered NPI’s for the CPG and Outdoor Product Group. Advanced to CPG
Engineering Director '07 developed a core team of CN engineers supporting Global NPD projects.

Selected Contributions:
♦ Restructured and revitalized the Suzhou Resident Engineering Team to boost performance and
productivity, and capitalize on the talents and skills of the highly experienced team.
♦ Proposed and developed the Product Integrity Team (PIT) from the ground up to drive corrective
actions in response to SCR and warranty data. Ensured that all products aligned with global and
US/EU regulatory requirements, and created new REA process(Request for Engineering Action)
change management approach that drove all product spec changes through a globally transparent
process.
♦ Recognized as trusted consultant and advisor to the sister organization, Black & Decker Chiphua
Industries (BDCI) to support operations and continuous improvement strategies.
♦ Led global steering groups in planning next-generation PLM systems and CATIA best practices.

FLYMO (ELECTROLUX OUTDOOR GARDEN PRODUCT DIVISION), DURHAM, UK


Design Manager, R&D New Products (1/1995 to 10/2000)
Earned a series of promotions for outstanding performance and contributions during tenure; initially hired as
Project Engineer, advanced to Project Manager in '96 and Design Manager of R&D New Products in '99. Led
teams in executing NPI strategies, methods and protocols to expedite product design and management
functions and drive tangible improvements to the company.
Selected Contributions:
♦ Successfully managed multi-brand New Product Road project that rolled out 13 new products in one
year, including two groundbreaking "ergonomic" hedge trimmers, high-power 1500W garden vacs,
low-cost electric wheeled rotary lawn mowers and other products. Delivered these products without
increasing staff levels by establishing a virtual design office network with suppliers in the UK, China,
Taiwan, Korea and Portugal, and closely monitoring finances, teams and project milestones.
♦ Identified shortfalls in the Manufacturing Requirements Programme (MRP) and Purchasing
Requisitions Management System (PRMS), and effectively improved systems by creating a solution
that seamlessly integrated NPIs into the manufacturing environment to reduce obsolete raw
materials, manage inventory levels and achieve unprecedented early exposure of new product
specification BOMs for internal and external customers.
♦ Introduced six of the company's 11 new products in '98.
♦ Hand-selected to create and lead the ISO 14001 Design for the Environment workshop, a new
protocol for the company's Product Introduction Control System.
♦ Chosen to lead one-year R&D program on noise reduction of lawnmowers to address new pending
legislation.
